Exclusive: Amirah J talks High Potential Season 2, playing Ava Gillory & working with Kaitlin Olson

Playing March 3 on ABC is Episode 13 (“In The Driver's Seat”) of High Potential where the team investigates a late-night luxury car heist turned deadly, uncovering a complex web of details and multiple perpetrators. Morgan also has mixed feelings when Ava begins focusing on her future.

Amirah J plays Ava Gillory, Morgan's rebellious teenage daughter whose father, Roman, disappeared 15 years before the series begins.

Created by Drew Goddard (“The Good Place,” “The Martian”) and starring Kaitlin Olson, “High Potential” follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective. 

The cast includes Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, Judy Reyes as Selena, Daniel Sunjata as Detective Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Steve Howey as Nick Wagner, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev "Oz" Özdil, Amirah J. Amirah as Ava, and Matthew Lamb as Elliot.

Prior to High Potential, Amirah was best known for her breakout role in Season 9 of Showtime's hit series Shameless, where she played the dynamic ‘Xan’ opposite Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White.
