Exclusive: Director/ producer Ron Howard and writer Noah Pink talk Eden and how it's NOT Lord Of The Flies

Hitting theaters on August 22 from Vertical Entertainment is the thriller Eden, directed by Ron Howard and starring Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, and Sydney Sweeney. Written by Noah Pink, the cast also includes Felix Kammerer and Toby Wallace. The film is based on the true story of a few European settlers arriving at Floreana Island, in the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador.

From Academy Award®–winning director Ron Howard, Eden unravels the shocking true story of a group of disillusioned outsiders (Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Daniel Brühl, and Sydney Sweeney) who abandon modern society in search of a new beginning.

Settling on a remote, uninhabited island, their utopian dream quickly unravels as they discover that the greatest threat isn’t the brutal climate or deadly wildlife, but each other.  What follows is a chilling descent into chaos where tensions spiral, desperation takes hold, and a twisted power struggle leads to betrayal, violence, and the deaths of half the colony.

Producers include Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Karen Lunder, Stuart Ford, William M. Connor, and Patrick Newall.

Howard’s most acclaimed films are “Rush,” “Frost/Nixon,” “Apollo 13,” “Cinderella Man” and “A Beautiful Mind.”

Blackfilmandtv.com's Wilson Morales talks to director/ producer Ron Howard and writer Noah Pink about their film Eden and how it's different from Lord Of The Flies.
