Exclusive: Director Renny Harlin and producer Gene Simmons talk Survival film 'Deep Water'
Hitting theaters on May 1 from Magenta Light Studios is the survival film ‘Deep Water,’ directed by Renny Harlin and starring Aaron Eckhart and Ben Kingsley.
A group of international passengers en route on a flight heading from Los Angeles to Shanghai are forced to make a rough emergency landing in shark-infested waters. Now they must work together in hopes of overcoming and surviving the frenzy of sharks drawn to the wreckage.
Written by Pete Bridges and Shayne Armstrong & SP Krause, the cast also includes Molly Wright, Kelly Gale, Angus Sampson, Priya Jain, Rosie Zhao, Richard Crouchley, Rob Kipa-Williams, Mark Hadlow, Rosemary Li, Lakota Johnson, Madeleine West, Ryan Bown, Rarmian Newton, Lucy Barrett, Michael Cardelle, John De Luca, Sonia Dorado, and Kate Fitzpatrick.
The film was produced by Gene Simmons, Gary Hamilton, Volodymry Aremenko, Grant Bradley, Dale G. Bradley, Neal Kingston, Robert Van Norden, Ryan Hamilton, Ying Ye, Adrián Guerra, and Bob Yari
The film is the first project from Simmons/Hamilton Productions, a company launched by Gene Simmons and Gary Hamilton, focused on producing genre films.
