Exclusive: Duster interviews with Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, LaToya Morgan and Benjamin Charles Watson

Premiering THURSDAY, MAY 15 at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT on Max is theMax Original drama series DUSTER, from Emmy®-winner J.J. Abrams and showrunner LaToya Morgan. Produced in association with Warner Bros. Television, the eight-episode season will debut new episodes weekly through the finale on July 3. 

Set in the 1970s Southwest, DUSTER explores the life of gutsy getaway driver Jim Ellis for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when tenacious young agent Nina Hayes comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down. Benjamin Charles Watson plays Royce, heir to the criminal underworld network.

The cast includes Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, Sydney Elisabeth, Greg Grunberg, Camille Guaty, Asivak Koostachin, Adriana Aluna Martinez, and Benjamin Charles Watson

Morgan served as a writer on “The Walking Dead”. Previously, she was a co-executive producer and writer of AMC’s “Into the Badlands” and “TURN: Washington’s Spies,” and was a writer for NBC’s “Parenthood” and Showtime’s “Shameless.”

Hilson plays Nina, the first Black female FBI agent, who in 1972 heads to the Southwest and recruits a gutsy getaway driver, played by Holloway, the first in a bold effort to take down a growing crime syndicate. She is best known for starring in Hulu teen drama series Love, Victor after starting her career on CBS’ The Good Wife. She has also appeared on NBC’s Rise and This Is Us.

Holloway’s Jim is loyal to his employer, Saxton (Keith David), until FBI Agent Nina Hayes (Rachel Hilson) tips him off that Saxton might have been behind the death of his brother years before. Holloway is known for his starring role as James “Sawyer” Ford on ABC drama Lost, which Abrams co-created and executive produced. Holloway most recently was seen on Paramount Network’s flagship drama series Yellowstone.

Saxton relies on his son Royce to help him with his criminal enterprise, but forbids his daughter Genesis, who’s a bartender, from taking part in the family business. Watson previously played Dontae Evans on “Designated Survivor” and Dante on the USA series “Soul.”
