Exclusive: Jay Pharoah and Sinqua Walls talk Netflix's Resort To Love & working w/ Christina Milian

Being released globally on July 29 on Netflix is the romantic comedy ‘Resort To Love,’ starring Christina Milian, Jay Pharoah, Sinqua Walls, Christiani Pitts, Karen Obilom, with Jeryl Prescott Gallien, and Tymberlee Hill, Alexander Hodge, TJ Power, Sylvaine Strike, and Kayne Lee Harrison.

Directed by Steven Tsuchida from a screenplay by Tabi McCartney and Dana Schmalenberg, the film was produced by Alicia Keys, Maggie Malina, and Jeremy Kipp Walker.

A romantic comedy about aspiring pop star Erica (Christina Milian) who ends up as the entertainment at her ex-fiancé’s wedding after reluctantly taking a gig at a luxurious Mauritius island resort while in the wake of a music career meltdown. She tries to keep their past relationship a secret from his bride-to-be Beverly (Christiani Pitts), but Erica rediscovers her feelings for her ex, Jason (Jay Pharoah), despite his brother Caleb's (Sinqua Walls) attempts to keep them from falling back in love. In this warm and funny romantic story that explores the bonds of love and family, the question soon becomes will Erica sing at Beverly's wedding - or her own?

Pharoah is a comedian-actor known for stint on NBC's Saturday Night Live and film role in Ride Along, Top Five, Bad Hair, and The Mitchells vs. the Machines. Walls is best known for his role as Kanan’s son Shawn on Starz’s Power and for his lead role on BET’s American Soul.
