Exclusive: Onslaught cast interviews with director Adam Wingard, Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, and Drew Starkey
Hitting theaters on September 4 from A24 is the sci-fi action movie called Onslaught, directed by Adam Wingard and starring Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, plus Rebecca Hall.
When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper (starring Adria Arjona) must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.
The screenplay is written by Simon Barrett, from a story by Adam Wingard & Simon Barrett. Produced by Simon Barrett & Adam Wingard, Jeremy Platt, Alexander Black, Aaron Ryder, & Andrew Swett.
Wingard previously directed A Horrible Way to Die, You're Next, The Guest, Blair Witch, Death Note, and both Godzilla vs. Kong & Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Arjona earned strong notices for her work opposite Powell in the seductive and charming Hit Man, and appeared in Zoe Kravitz’s directorial debut Blink Twice. She also starred in the acclaimed Star Wars series Andor. The actress also starred in and executive produced Los Frikis, an indie drama set in Cuba in the early 1990s.
Stevens starred in Adam Wingard’s thriller The Guest, and Godzilla x Kong, which grossed $571 million worldwide. Before that he was part of the ensemble of Universal’s vampire thriller Abigail and in the summer starred in Neon’s horror flick Cuckoo. Previously, he was known for his work in the popular British series Downton Abbey.
Starkey is best known for his starring role in Netflix’s top-ranking teen drama Outer Banks, which recently wrapped up with its fifth and final season. He also starred in Queer, A24’s queer romantic drama in which he stars opposite Daniel Craig
