Exclusive: Sanaa Lathan on working with Lior Raz in Netflix's international thriller series Hit & Run
Now playing on Netflix is the international action series Hit and Run, starring Fauda’s Lior Raz, who is also its co-creator and executive producer. He is joined in the cast by The Affair’s Sanaa Lathan as the female lead, as well as fellow series regulars Kaelen Ohm (Queen of Spades), Moran Rosenblatt (Fauda), and Gregg Henry (Scandal), while Gal Toren (Para Aduma) guest stars. The series will premiere on August 6.
Hit and Run centers on a happily married man, played by Raz, whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident in Tel Aviv. Grief-stricken and confused, the former Special Forces soldier searches for his wife’s killers, who have fled to the U.S. With the help of an ex-lover, Naomi Hicks (Lathan), he uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets she kept from him.
For Lathan, whose TV credits include The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, Boss, Shots Fired, The Affair, The Twilight Zone and Harley Quinn, she’s working opposite Raz, who’s best known for his role as Doron Kabilio in the political thriller television series Fauda, and Will Stetson, who plays her husband in the series. She will next seen in Season 3 of HBO’s Succession.
BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales recently spoke with Lathan as she talked about working on Hit & Run, working with Raz and what projects are of interests to her.
