Exclusive: Shameik Moore, director Rza, and RJ Cyler talk One Spoon Of Chocolate
Hitting theaters on May 1 is director RZA’s revenge thriller ‘One Spoon of Chocolate,’ presented by Quentin Tarantino and starring Shameik Moore.
The film follows a veteran and ex-convict named Unique (Moore), who begins investigating the disappearance of young men in his town—including his cousin Ramsey (RJ Cyler)—after a run-in with a group of locals. When he suspects there is foul play involved, his pursuit of the truth makes him a target of the local sheriff’s office, whose possible connection to the missing men sends the case down a dangerous path. Refusing to become the next victim, Unique and his crew decide to fight back before it’s too late.
The cast also includes Rockmond Dunbar, Blair Underwood, Johnell Young, Paris Jackson, Emyri Crutchfield, Michael Harney, Harry Goodwins, and Isaiah Hill.
‘One Spoon of Chocolate’ is written and directed by RZA, who also produces alongside Paul Hall and Talani R. Diggs. The film also marks the launch of RZA’s 36 Cinema Distribution label with its U.S. theatrical release.
