Exclusive: Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 cast interviews with Emma Myers, Evie Templeton, and Gwendoline Christie
With the latest season of Netflix’s hit show Wednesday, the amount of twists and turns have left fans eager to know what the beloved characters will get up to next. At the forefront of the anticipation sits Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s adoring, polar-opposite roommate whose story left off on quite the cliffhanger at the end of season two, part two. There are endless possibilities for where viewers may meet the pastel werewolf next, but what does Emma Myers think? “I’d like for Enid to not be a werewolf the whole time,” the actress said. “Hopefully I change back.”
Myers, who has become a fan-favorite for her effervescent portrayal of Enid, explained that the twists and turns of this season have come about with unique preparation processes, primarily with the fan-favorite episode six. “It was about really trying to get each other choreographed down,” she said of tapping into the episode with co-star Jenna Ortega.
For Evie Templeton, who plays Nevermore newcomer and Wednesday’s (literal) shadow, tapping into the character involved viewing the show from an inner perspective. “A lot of the work I did was looking at season one and trying to see what would impress Wednesday as a character, and looking at her characteristics. Agnes is so enamored by her, and I think you always want to be like your idol.”
Among the highly anticipated aspects of the new season was whether or not Gwendoline Christie would return for her universally-adored portrayal of Principal Weems. Luckily for fans, the former Nevermore Principal has assumed a new role this season, as Wednesday’s spirit guide. “I told no one about this,” Christie said of her return. “Because I truly respected the creators and they wanted it to be a surprise, and I also thought it could be a fantastic moment for Weems.”
Season two of Wednesday arrives bigger and bolder, split into two parts and packed with everything fans loved about the first season, only darker, funnier, and more ambitious. With Tim Burton returning as executive producer and Jenna Ortega once again leading as the iconic Wednesday Addams, the show leans further into horror while balancing sharp wit and heart. Viewers can expect new mysteries within Nevermore Academy, deeper dives into the ever-expanding Addams family lore, a stronger spotlight on beloved characters like Enid, and so much more.
The production itself also levels up. With a redesigned Nevermore and filming locations across Ireland, each episode feels cinematic, with the season embracing larger set pieces and striking visuals. Part One even includes Burton going back to his roots with an eerily perfect stop-motion animated sequence.
Needless to say, Wednesday Season Two is a can’t-miss watch, and all episodes are now available on Netflix. We sat down with Templeton, Myers and Christie to talk all about it, check out the conversation below!
