Civil War Horror Movie ‘Resurrection Road’ starring Malcolm Goodwin to hit theaters & digital/on-demand June 6

Having a limited theatrical release in major markets, as well as digital/on-demand, on Friday, June 6, 2025 is Saban Films’ upcoming action-horror release, Resurrection Road.

Directed by Ashley Cahill, the cast includes Malcolm Goodwin, Michael Madsen, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Randy Wayne, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Okea Eme-Akwari, Randall J. Bacon, Furly Mac, Triana Browne, with Davonte Burse and Bryan Taronn Jones in their debut roles.

Set during the Civil War, Resurrection Road follows an elite squad of six Black soldiers, led by an ex-slave named Barabbas, on a suicide mission to infiltrate and destroy a heavily guarded Confederate fort deep in the Arkansas wilderness thus coming face to face with more danger than they expected. Their goal: eliminate the fort’s long-range guns and shift the tide of the war. The film delivers a powerful blend of gritty action and historical horror.

The film was produced by Talia Bella, Pantea Ghaderi, and Randy Wayne.
