RZA To Direct & Produce his Screenplay ‘One Spoon Of Chocolate’ Starring Shameik Moore and Paris Jackson
RZA Productions and Xen Diagram Media announced that filmmaker RZA began principal photography in Atlanta this week on ONE SPOON OF CHOCOLATE. The film stars Shameik Moore and Paris Jackson.
The original screenplay was written by RZA who is producing the feature with producer Paul Hall, executive producers Talani Diggs, Mitchell Divine Diggs, and Joe Genier.
Joining Shameik Moore and Paris Jackson are actors RJ Cyler, Harry Goodwins, Johnell Young, Michael Harney, Rockmond Dunbar, E'myri Crutchfield, and Blair Underwood.
When an ex-military convict leaves the city for a small town he ends up finding love, danger and more trouble than he can handle.
“I’ve read many times how some films take 7 years to make from conception to release. This project has been percolating since 2011 and finally 13 years later we’re able to bring it to production. I’ve never been so excited to start a journey as I am about this. And with the great team and cast I have beside me we are destined for a classic,” states RZA.
RZA directs from his original screenplay and will be joined by director of photography Brandon Cox, production designer Ryan Sbarrata. The costume designer is Lorraine Coppin.
