Among the shorts slated to screen at the 2025 Micheaux Film Festival is the sci-fi, western comedy 'The Lord of All Future Space & Time,' starring Roy Williams Jr

Written & Directed by Chris Paul Russell, the cast also includes Mark Benninghofen, Lightfoot Hans Heilman, Paulette Fajardo, Ray Buffer, Paul Major, LA Williams, Amanda Harris, Arian Winn Russell, Emerson Bualat, Danny Shepherd, and Elise Arndt.

When a duffle bag explodes into existence over the Nevada desert, Dyson Wheeler – set to be hanged — seizes his chance at escape, killing his captor with the shovel he was just using to dig his own grave. Thus begins Wheeler's mission to avenge the death of his beloved wife Rachel, and in the process, create our particular pocket of space-time, The Future That Matters To Us.

Roy Williams Jr.'s notable credits include The Pitt, where he recurs as Officer Suggs, The Rookie, Black-ish, and Criminal Minds: Evolution. He was recently seen in the feature Hurry Up, Tomorrow alongside The Weeknd and Jenna Ortega, and led the acclaimed short Think Lovely Thoughts, centered on mental health.
