In honor of Valentine’s Day, here’s the trailer to ‘Love Song,’ an upcoming film written, directed and produced by Nofisat “Love Nafi” Almaroof. Mohamed Williams and Okema T. Moore, who also serve as executive producer and producer respectively, lead a cast that includes Simone Posey, Adrian Arthur, Montana Monroe Jenkins, Ava Barnett, and Taylen Washington.
Love Song is a drama that explores the intersections ambition, intimacy, love, and legacy as a music producer wrestles with who he is and who he is expected to be.
Mathieu’s a successful music producer struggling to balance family, ambition, and marriage to his law-student wife, Tara. He’s eager to make the next hit that could launch his career to the next level, but he’s facing some major creative blocks. After a fender bender, he accidentally reconnects with Belinda, his former musical collaborator and old flame.
Passion and inspiration ignite as they briefly rekindle their creative and emotional connection in the recording studio. However, after nearly crossing a line, both realize they must honor their current commitments. The encounter spawns a hit song for Mathieu but leaves him questioning duty vs. desire.
