Wood Harris, Teyana Taylor, Shunika Terry, Cheo Hodari Coker Among 529 New Academy Members

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 529 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to motion pictures. This year, there are 95 Oscar® nominees, including 21 winners, and three Scientific and Technical Award recipients among the invitees.

“We are delighted to invite this remarkable group of film artists and professionals from around the world to join the Academy,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor. “Through their commitment to filmmaking, this year’s exceptionally talented class has made significant contributions to our global movie industry.”

Featured invites like Wood Harris, Teyana Taylor, Alisa Payne, and Daysha M. Broadway bring the total voting body closer to 10,338.
