Exclusive: Chloe Grace Moretz On The Live-Action Hybrid ‘Tom & Jerry’

Coming out this week in theaters and on HBO Max is the live-action hybrid film, Tom & Jerry, directed by Tim Story and starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Colin Jost, Rob Delaney, Pallavi Sharda, Jordan Bolger, Patsy Ferran, Nicky Jam, Bobby Cannavale, Lil Rel Howery, and Ken Jeong.

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. But soon, an even bigger problem arises: a diabolically ambitious staffer conspiring against all three of them

At the age of just 24, Moretz had compiled over 30 film credits and continues to take on different roles in different genres. There’s no shortage of what the Atlanta, GA native can do. In recent years, she’s done the supernatural horror film (Suspiria), a psychological thriller (Greta), a computer animated black comedy (The Addams Family), and an action horror film (Shadow in the Cloud). Now she gets to add this live-action/computer-animated slapstick comedy film to her growing resume. In speaking with BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales, Moretz shares her experience on working on Tom & Jerry.
