Exclusive: Dead of Winter cast interviews with Emma Thompson and Judy Greer
Hitting theaters on Sept. 26 from Vertical Entertainment is the thriller Dead of Winter, directed by Brian Kirk, and starring Emma Thompson, Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca, & Gaia Wise, with Cuan Hosty-Blaney, Dalton Leeb, Paul Hamilton, Lloyd Hutchinson, and Brian F. O'Byrne.
Hit by a blizzard, a grief-stricken loner (Emma Thompson) gets lost among backroads near a Minnesotan lake and stops for help at a remote cabin in the woods. In there she discovers a young woman (Laurel Marsden) kidnapped by a desperate couple (Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca) who are armed and intent on murder. Isolated and without any cell service, this unlikely hero realizes she is the woman’s only hope of survival.
The screenplay is written by Nicholas Jacobson-Larson & Dalton Leeb. It's produced by Greg Silverman, Jon Berg, Jonas Katzenstein, Maximilian Leo.
Thompson in recent years has appeared in films including Matilda: The Musical, Searchlight/Hulu crowd pleaser Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Cruella, and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
Greer’s credits include 13 Going On 30, Jurassic World, Ant-Man, and Halloween Kills. Coming up are Dead Guy co-starring Michael Shannon, Eric Larue opposite Alexander Skarsgard in Michael Shannon’s directorial debut, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever co-starring Pete Holmes.
