Exclusive: Director Ric Roman Waugh talks Shelter and working with Jason Statham
Currently in theaters in the action drama Shelter, directed by Ric Roman Waugh and starring Jason Statham, Naomi Ackie, Bill Nighy, Tom Wu, and Bodhi Rae Breathnach.
On a remote coastal island, a reclusive man (starring Jason Statham) rescues a young girl from a deadly storm, drawing them both into danger. Forced out of isolation, he must confront his turbulent past while protecting her, sending them on a tense journey of survival and redemption into the underbelly of London.
The screenplay is written by Ward Parry. It's produced by Jon Berg, Brendon Boyea, John Friedberg, Greg Silverman, and Jason Statham.
Waugh has directed films such as In the Shadows, Felon, Snitch, Shot Caller, Angel Has Fallen, Greenland, National Champions, and Kandahar most recently Greenland 2: Migration sequel.
