Exclusive: Director Solvan "Slick" Naim on helming Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episodes 3 and 4
The third and fourth episodes of Daredevil: Born Again's second season, which were directed by Solvan "Slick" Naim, provided a lot of action and an ending in the fourth episode ('Gloves Off') that has fans wondering the fate of one of the series’ main characters. Between Ben Poindexter going nuts at the diner and Wilson Fisk literally showing off his strengths in a boxing match, fans have to wait a week to see if Vanessa Fisk’s life will change the course of Wilson’s action.
In Season 2 of Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But, beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.
The series stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Wilson Bethel, Deborah Ann Woll, Margarita Levieva, Krysten Ritter, Matthew Lillard, and Ayelet Zurer.
Besides episodes 3 and 4 of Daredevil: Born Again, Naim also created, directed, wrote, produced and starred in Netflix series It’s Bruno, the story of a man and his beloved puggle dog, that scored an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series category in 2019. He also directed episodes of Tubi’s Demascus, AMC’s 61st Street, Starz’ Power and BMF, FX’s Snowfall, NBC’s The Blacklist, and Netflix’s The Get Down. He also directed and produced his own film Full Circle. A musician as well, Naim’s “At a Disadvantage” is playing in the fourth episode.
