Exclusive: M.I.A. cast Interviews with Shannon Gisela, Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Alberto Guerra & More

Playing on Peacock is the South Florida-set crime thriller M.I.A. from Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque. M.I.A. debuts on Peacock on May 7, 2026, with all nine episodes becoming available then. In addition, the show's pilot episode will air on NBC on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Restless in the Florida Keys, Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela) dreams of a life in Miami’s glittering, sub-tropical kingdom. When her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, however, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she’s ultimately capable of. MIA is the airport code for Miami.

Guest cast includes Edward James Olmos, Billy Burke, Sonia Braga, Loretta Devine, Tovah Feldshuh, Tyler Perez, Paul Ben-Victor, and David Denman.

Bill Dubuque serves as executive producer and writer, and Karen Campbell serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner. Alethea Jones directed the first two episodes, Gwyneth Horder-Payton episode 3, Marizee Almas episodes 4 and 5, Ben Semanoff episodes 6 and 7 and John Dahl episodes 8 and 9.
