Debuting this Wednesday, June 9 on Disney+ is Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” in which Tom Hiddleston reprises his role from all three “Thor” films, 2012’s “The Avengers,” and 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War.” Hiddleston last portrayed the God of Mischief in last year’s highest-grossing film of all time “Avengers: Endgame,” where he successfully had stolen the Tesseract during Iron Man and Ant Man’s failed attempt to retrieve it.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” It’s the franchise’s third television show on Disney’s streaming service following WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.

Having starred in numerous films, including notables such as Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Behind Enemy Lines, Marley and Me, Midnight in Paris, Wedding Crashers, Cars, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Little Fockers, this is actually Wilson’s first regular role in a limited TV series.

In Loki, he plays Mobius M. Mobius, an agent of the TVA who specializes in the investigations of particularly dangerous time criminals. BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with Wilson about his foray into the Marvel world.
