Blazing through the festival circuit with over 10+ awards and 20 nominations is the short film Baldy, executive produced, written and starring Melvin Taylor II.
Directed by Eddie Griffith, the cast also includes Sam DeLeon, Milbelynn Soto, Roodlyne Woods, Vivek Netrakanti, Saint Aubyn, Mary Kate Abner, Lauren Mayo, Srini Kumar, Michael Ganley, Jeff Kitt, and DeMone Seraphin.

In this heartfelt dramedy short film, we meet Travis, a New Yorker whose receding hairline mirrors the distant memories of his childhood. As he navigates the vibrant chaos of NYC, he's haunted by looming thoughts. He has a great network of family and friends around him, but Travis doesn’t know how to open up about the insecurities surrounding his hair loss.
Supported by Stay Taylor'd Productions, BALDY addresses hair loss in a unique way, giving the audience a humorous yet realistic approach.

A storyteller at heart, Melvin’s writing reflects the lived experiences of juggling multiple careers, blending authenticity and ambition. His impressive filmography includes work on standout projects such as Harlem, YOU, Elsbeth, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and A Thousand and One.
Eddie Griffith is the director of BALDY The Film. He is a born and bred Brooklynite who found a love for film early in his life. That passion led to his rise in the film ranks in New York City which landed him on many high-profile sets as a key member of the assistant director department. As a proud DGA member, Eddie has worked on projects such as Creed III, The Bikeriders, Bros, Journal for Jordan, No Sudden Move, YOU, and more.
