Nicholas Duvernay Joins Tyriq Withers In Universal’s ‘Reminders Of Him’

Deadline reports that Nicholas Duvernay, one of the young standouts of The White Lotus Season 3, has joined Tyriq Withers in Reminders of Him, Universal’s adaptation of the novel by It Ends With Us author Colleen Hoover.

Duvernay joins a cast led by Maika Monroe, which also includes Rudy Pankow, and Lauren Graham.

First published in 2022, the book tells the story of Kenna Rowan (Monroe), a young mother who returns to her hometown after serving five years in prison for a tragic accident. Determined to reunite with her daughter, who is being raised by her late boyfriend’s parents, Kenna faces judgment and resistance from the community, but nonetheless fights for redemption, forgiveness, and a second chance at love and motherhood.

Duvernay will play Roman, a bartender at Ward’s Bar, owned by Ledger Ward — the best friend of Kenna’s late boyfriend, Scotty, who gives her a job when she gets out of prison.

Vanessa Caswill is directing from a script by Hoover and Lauren Levine, with the latter two producing through their production company, Heartbones Entertainment, alongside Gina Matthews through her Little Engine Productions. Robin Fisichella is executive producing, with Director of Production Development Christine Sun overseeing the project for the studio.

Most recently, Duvernay has been seen playing Zion, the son of hotel spa manager Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), in the critically acclaimed third season of The White Lotus. Prior to that appearing in Netflix’s hit YA romantic drama Purple Hearts, the actor has also been seen in Peacock’s Fresh Prince reimagining Bel-Air, along with series like The WinchestersTyler Perry’s Assisted Living, The RookieMagnum P.I.S.W.A.T., and All American.
