Production Begins On Director Alterik Miller’s Neo-Soul Romance Film “93 ‘Til”
Principal photography is officially underway on 93 ’Til, a romantic drama marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Alterik Miller, following the festival run of his short film Laundry.
Petey McGee and Sophia Lucia Parola lead a cast that includes LaRoyce Hawkins, Taryn Delanie Smith, Kris D. Lofton, and Keith Arthur Bolden, and Philadelphia-based talent Skeet Carter.
In 93 ’Til, two young creatives do something increasingly rare: they choose presence over distraction. Over the course of a single day in Philadelphia, Rahmell (McGee), a struggling artist, and Yannie (Parola), a vintage clothing curator carrying the weight of inherited dreams, allow themselves to slow down; to talk, listen, and connect without the armor of screens or expectations.
As music, art, and memory guide them through the city, the film becomes an exploration of intimacy in a culture that resists stillness and attention, asking whether love can endure when nothing holds our us for long.
Written by Miller, 93 ’Til is currently shooting on location throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and is produced by LaRoyce Hawkins, with Richard Noel and Petey McGee producing for Momentum Film Works, alongside Miller and Samuel C. Morrison Jr. for Deck of Cards Entertainment.
